Verse 74 of Surah An'am is one of the verses that express the relationship of "Azer" with Prophet Abraham with the expression "Ab". This ratio, if it means the true father, is incompatible with the theological foundations of Shia and also the views of some Sunnis, considering the polytheism of "Azer". Below verse 74 of Surah An'am has been the place of discussion and conflict of opinion of many commentators on this issue. The purpose of this article is to arrive at a fair and well-reasoned judgment about the word "Ab" and the issues surrounding it among the opinions raised under this verse. In order to achieve this goal, the method of matching between the two commentaries "Al-Mizan" and "Min Wahi Al-Qur'an" has been used, which, despite the fact that the authors are Shiites, have different statements on this issue.This method, along with a brief look at the evolution of the commentators' view under this verse, creates a comprehensive view of the dimensions of this issue. These studies show that Allameh Tabataba'i, in his analysis of this verse, has tried to criticize the reasons of the opponents of this point of view with a comprehensive view, in addition to proving the Shia theological point of view. Although Allameh Fazlullah has tried to criticize the views of Allameh Tabatabai, but besides the weakness of these criticisms, the environmental conditions of Allameh Fazlullah can also be considered effective in adopting this approach.
